Learn how to use Bexley Talks and win prizes - join our low-commitment pilot
By October, Bexley Talks will have had a slight redesign, making it a lot easier for you to find your way around the site.
We are running a low-commitment seven-week pilot to help us and you learn how to use it effectively, and we'd love you to be one of the first to join us in trialling this new way we can hold discussions and get your views.
As a participant, you'd be entered into a weekly £50 amazon voucher prize draw!
Aside from the prize draw, this is a chance to:
- Explore giving your opinion online in a safe, facilitated enviornment
- Communicate and connect with a variety of people across the borough
- Say what you think on the subject of 'letting local communities do more for themselves'
What will it involve? Just 15-30 minutes of your time a week for seven weeks starting from the 4th October, from your own home, and in your own time. You'll receive simple instructions to your email, and continued support.
What if I don’t know enough to participate? We'd love to involve you, whatever your knowledge or experience. We want all kinds of people to participate.
Sounds interesting and I can spare the time…how do I sign up? Simply email christina.hayward [at] bexley.gov.uk with the words ‘Bexley Talks pilot’ and include your full name and preferred email address so we can send you the weekly instructions.
Further info/faqs
To be eligible, You must be over 16 and a resident of the London Borough of Bexley.
You will be taking part in a 'private' conversation viewable only to participants, though izwe may use anonymised data (screenshots/contributions) in marketing/case studies etc. See izwe's privacy policy here for more information on how they protect your personal information and use data.
Where can I see the rules for the prize draw? They will be published shortly in a blog post on izwe.com.
The prizes are provided by izwe (the company providing the website), not from the council budget.

That's the idea! Don't forget that if you have issues you want to raise or questions to ask other Bexley residents, you can start a topic in the Bexley Talks forum - bexleytalks.izwe.com/bexleytalks/forum

This sounds like a good idea. How many residents have problems with street lighting and the worry that some bright spark will try to cut down on it to save money? How many residents are happy with the rubbish collections? It will be interesting to find out and what ideas they have to make things better.
