A worrying item on ten o'clock nes tonighy. Caroline Spellman stated that Bexley COuncil were coxsidering a "Fun" tax on such items as the Splash Park in Belverdere. Living locally The popularity of this little area in sunny weather has to be seen to be believed!! The previous labour concil started this project and the emcunbant council is quite happy taking the credit and in fact in the latest issue of the Bexley magazine state that "the free Belverdere Splash Park is open each day until 30th September...." I do realise that in this time of economic constraints that every effort has to be made but it would be a very stupid mistke to start and try charging for an ammenity which hardly costs anything to run(as opposed to the Mayor's car!)
