Well on that last point..: You may get the occasional notification from us but we will try to keep this to a minimum, to the point and aimed at improving your experience of the website. We'll also give you control over the frequency of these notices.

Optional information

You will be invited by izwe to provide further demographic information that will allow us to provide an even more personalised service and ensure that any collected information is demographically robust to aid good decision-making. This data may include: ethnicity, religion, income, political views.

This information will remain anonymous in any analysis of your input into izwe, izwe user or partner content. No-one external to izwe will be able to identify you or contact you by any means.

You may modify your personal data at any point through the izwe tools provided.

Note: In certain surveys you may be asked for your name, demographic and contact details (which will be clearly marked) and this will be the only time you will be personally identifiable when inputting into a survey. In all other cases you will remain completely anonymous.

Privacy Control

izwe provides you with the ability to control what information about you is available to those outside of izwe, other izwe users and friends. We advise you to choose the option you are comfortable with and we will be working hard to allow ever more control over these settings to be possible.

Your nickname and profile picture will be used to identify you to other users when you participate in discussions, call for proposals, join community features and inside search results.

Aggregated and Anonymous Data

We wouldn't be able to make a difference with your data if our partners didn't use it to inform decision-making. We promise however that your data will only ever be used in a way which you as an individual cannot be identified. This means we will use any demographic information you provide in an aggregated form, e.g. 53% of our users are male OR 20% of respondents believe in the tooth fairy.

Examples of what we may do with this anonymous data on izwe:

• Releasing research reports into the public domain (something we aim to do as often as possible)
• Allow partners to view it to inform their decision making
• Use it to support marketing of izwe so we can build our positive impact
